90 Specialists The specialists are those who perform development and design functions. They are engaged with direct organization and management of the production, with economic, administrative and legal provision of the entire enterprise activity. The composition of this category is vari- ous and results from the concrete needs of the enterprise. The relatively small number of specialists is typical for smaller enterprises, which im- poses on every specialist to do two or more functions. For example, the designer has to be technologist; the sales specialist has to supply the necessary raw materials, to ensure the availability of tools and spare parts, etc. Managers The managers perform managerial functions, thus distinguished them from the other categories of personnel. Managers do the overall operative management of the enterprise. They make managerial deci- sions and bear responsibility for the results from activities of depart- ments they run. They include the manager of the enterprise, and his deputies, the managers of department and services, the managers of every production units. Service ( subsidiary ) personnel The service personnel include employees engaged with servicing both production processes and the management – couriers, telephone operators, secretaries, typists, and etc. Security guards The security guards protect the ownership of the enterprise. The security guards may be armed, unarmed, anti-fire guards. The persons employed in the enterprise and its structural units are divided also ac- cording to profession, specialty and qualification. The profession is differentiated type of working activity, which demands special knowledge and practical skills, acquired by vocational training and production experience.
