89 3.2. Staff categories For management of labour and labour relations there is an ac- cepted unified classification of the personnel. The major criterion for the classification is the performed labour functions: executive, design, managerial and servicing. There are five types of personnel according to this criterion: workers, specialists, managers, service personnel and security guards. Workers Workers perform executive functions. They are directly engaged with manufacturing and realization of material products or performing of services. The group of workers consists of all persons who set in ac- tion the means of production by using their physical power, skills, ex- perience they manage that action, keep an eye on the consecutive and correct execution of the production process, and produce the goods or services of the enterprise. The persons that serve the production proc- ess, without directly involved in it, are also part of the workers’ group. On that basis, the workers’ category is divided into two major categories: Main The main workers work on the machines and equipment, where they process the objects of labour and transform them into finished production. Subsidiary The subsidiary workers perform independent functions in the manufacturing of the main production and support the activity of the main workers. They supply the working places with materials, semi- finished goods and tools; repair the equipment; manufacture tools, wrapping, vapour, etc. To the category "workers" belong also the managers of primary production units of the enterprise – teams, sections, who besides the managerial functions take part in the production process. Persons who are trained for certain profession or specialty are also included in the workers’ category.
