67 c) improving your management skills: Your self-evaluation can be subjective and fail to show your weaknesses. Compare this evaluation to the evaluation made by a member of your family, friend, or consultant. In this way, you will be able to make an objective evaluation for your strengths and weaknesses. Do not lose your courage if the evaluation shows only your weak traits. You can work to improve those weaknesses and turn them into strengths. It is necessary to work for the improvement of your entrepre- neurial skills: • talk with your consultant, friends, and family; • observe those people who have their own business and think about why they might be successful; • begin suitable education for the improvement of your knowl- edge and skills in those fields you are not so good; • search and read books describing how to improve your abilities. Decide in which Unit of the education you are weak; what you should do to improve those skills. If your technical skills are not enough, you can: • search for more thorough practical education; • choose a member of your family who has the will and ability to acknowledge those skills; • find a Unitner who possesses those skills; • find qualified workers and apply different motivational ap- proaches. • If you do not have the necessary knowledge about the manufac- turing process, you can: • try to learn more by observing the experience of the more skilled entrepreneurs in your business field; • try to acquire own experience by working for a while in another similar company; • find a Unitner who possesses this knowledge.
