The reasons for establishing a private business are different . These reasons might be such as will for financial independence, im- provement of the living standard, lack of another alternative. The chances for success are greater , when the will to turn your business into a life time goal is stronger . Personal characteristics of the future entrepreneur. Devotion : The establishment of a private business is a very important deci- sion. It will entirely change your life. You will begin to carry all the responsibilities for the management and success of the business, wel- fare of your family and the welfare of the families of your workers. This requires devotion to the business, constant and hard work. This effort will greatly contribute to satisfactory profit but there will be no time for you, your family and friends, for leisure time and work. This means real self devotion and putting your job above every- thing else. Willingness to take risks : There are no business ideas which are absolutely secure and have no risk. There is always risk in the business world. The decisions you will make will not always bring the desired results. As a result of con- stant changes in the business environment, every decision might be risky and might not lead to the desired outcome. But if there is no risk, there is no profit. You should take risks, but the probability of success should not be very low. The efficient entrepreneurs do never risk every-
